How do we recognize a beach as a beach or a forest as a forest? Human
subjects are very efficient at categorizing natural scenes, but we
know little about the processing and encoding of natural scene
categories in the human brain. We used this image set to study these
questions using behavioral techniques and fMRI. The study is in press
at the Journal of Neuroscience.
