Hi, I am Bangpeng YAO (in Chinese 姚邦鹏 , pronounced as ). Welcome to my homepage!


I am currently a PhD student in the Computer Science Department of Stanford University. I am a member of the Stanford Vision Lab, advised by Professor Fei-Fei Li. Before I moved to Stanford in July 2009, I worked with Professor Li Fei-Fei in the Computer Science Department of Princeton University as a PhD student for one year.

I got my master degree from the Computer Science and Technology Department of Tsinghua University in July 2008. I was a member of Image and Vision Computing Group, advised by Professor Haizhou Ai.

I received my bachelor degree from the Department of Automation of Tsinghua University in July 2006. In the senior year, I joined a student research training (SRT) project in Bioinformatics Division of Tsinghua University, advised by Professor Shao Li.

        
My research interests include computer vision, machine learning, computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, and vision-based control.
